Hi! I’m Melissa — and this is Estrella De Oro. ✨

This isn’t just a jewelry shop — it’s a dream I built from love, struggle, and the hope of one day giving back to the woman who’s given me everything: my mom.

She started it all in 2017 with a small jewelry booth inside La Michoacana in Houston. Rain or shine, she was there — offering gold, silver, perfumes, and always a warm smile. She built something special with her own two hands, and our community has loved her for it ever since.

In 2021, everything changed. My mom was diagnosed with cancer. I left my job to care for her full-time, while still helping her run the joyería. It was one of the hardest seasons of our lives — filled with treatments, doctor appointments, and just trying to keep things going — but she never gave up, and neither did I.

After she beat cancer in 2022 (💪✨), I knew I wanted to help her dream grow even bigger. So in January 2024, I launched Estrella De Oro. It was just me — no team, no experience in e-commerce, just a daughter with a vision and a whole lot of heart.

We didn’t get our first two online orders until June (honestly still not sure how — my marketing was a mess 😅). But everything changed in September when I went live on TikTok for the first time with only 50 followers. That month, we had six orders. Then it kept growing. Slowly. Steadily. And all from the love and support of people like you.
